The Yarnbarn was established just prior to the hype of ‘feathers’ – so we had a wild ride to introduce us into the retail aspects of knitting and crocheting. A thousand phone calls a day ‘Have you got any feathers? When will they be in???.Do you have this colour? I need one more ball!!’ It was so exciting to see so many people interested in the new yarns and rekindle their interest in knitting and crocheting.

We started off with a small shop and rapidly expanded into the adjoining premises to showcase our wide range of yarns and accessories. We recognised a need in Adelaide for people to consistently be able to purchase good quality yarns and find the skilled support that matches our products. This is our goal!

Our resident experts, Linda, Barbara and Joanne, are dedicated knit-a-holics who love to create and inspire those around them. We are committed to great personal service personalised to suit the individual’s needs in our shop and on-line. We want everyone to be as excited and inspired as we are to create something fantastic (and functional!!)
